You'll have the chance to work with a diverse caseload, impacting learners who are blind or visually impaired. Qualifications:

  • Valid and active CDE (Colorado Department of Education) Certification is required
  • Demonstrated experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, with strong knowledge in adaptations and assistive technology
  • Background working with K-12 students in educational settings
  • Ability to meet all district-mandated background check and fingerprint requirements
  • Passion for inclusive education and adapting instruction to meet individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments across designated schools
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster accessibility and student independence
  • Assess student progress, develop and update individualized education programs (IEPs), and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide recommendations for supportive materials and assistive devices
  • Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and regulatory guidelines
