Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Active Massachusetts Visually Impaired License required.
  • Prior experience teaching or supporting visually impaired students, with knowledge of adaptive technology, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning atmosphere.
  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting curriculum and teaching strategies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement instruction that meets the unique learning needs of students with visual impairments.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and parents to ensure comprehensive support.

  • Teach skills such as Braille, assistive technology, orientation, and mobility as needed.
