Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Experience providing direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, preferably in a school environment
• Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and accessible instructional materials
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, special education teams, and families
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Flexibility adapting to a diverse caseload and changing student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in various settings, including classrooms and resource rooms
• Conduct functional vision assessments and help develop IEP goals aligned with student needs

• Adapt educational materials, including producing Braille and tactile resources as required
