Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored instructional materials and adapted curricula for students with visual impairments
- Assess student needs and collaborate with educational teams to design effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Teach Braille, orientation and mobility skills, and use of assistive technology
- Offer guidance to classroom teachers, staff, and families on best practices for inclusion and accessibility
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure continued success
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching certification in Visual Impairment or related specialty
- Previous experience as a teacher for the visually impaired preferred, though not required

- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
