Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) needed near Bel Air, MD

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our school-based team. This full-time position provides specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, helping them achieve academic success and independence in the educational environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certificate with a Vision endorsement issued by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE)
• Knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology for students with visual impairments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Position Details:

• 37.5 hours per week
• School-based schedule

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
• Develop and implement individualized educational goals
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
• Assess student needs and recommend appropriate accommodations and supports
