Desired Qualifications:
- Valid credential or certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with students with visual impairments in school settings
- Proficiency in Braille instruction and materials adaptation
- Knowledge of assistive technology relevant to visual impairment
- Experience conducting 1:1 and group lessons for students of varying ages or abilities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, educators, and related service providers
- Detail-oriented approach for effective case management and progress documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction—both individually and in groups—to students with visual impairments
- Adapt curriculum materials and utilize Braille to ensure accessibility
- Maintain accurate student records and deliver comprehensive progress reports as required
- Collaborate with IEP teams and participate in goal development and reviews
