Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of Braille, assistive technologies, and adaptive curriculum strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive educational practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement
- Assess progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed for optimal learning outcomes
- Advocate for students and educate peers about visual impairment awareness
