Qualifications and Experience:
• Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive instructional methods
• Experience working with students aged Pre-K through 12 who have varying degrees of visual impairment
• Strong communication abilities for interaction with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability in educational approaches to meet individualized student needs
• Familiarity with writing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in visual impairment education
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Provide direct and consultative services to visually impaired students in mainstream and self-contained classroom settings

• Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and contribute to IEP meetings as a specialist resource
