This contract opportunity centers on delivering specialized instruction as a teacher for the visually impaired (TVI/BVI) during Extended School Year (ESY) programming. Working Monday through Thursday, 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM, you'll enjoy a manageable 20-hour week and a focused caseload of 10-15 students, all within a single building.

You'll be collaborating within a highly specialized setting designed to meet the needs of students who have significant behavioral and physical challenges. This requires not only your expertise in visual impairment education but also adaptability, compassion, and experience working with diverse learners. You’ll be part of a supportive team dedicated to fostering student growth and independence.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in the area of visual impairment (TVI/BVI)
  • Experience supporting students with significant behavioral and physical disabilities preferred
  • Ability to create and implement individualized lesson plans for learners with varied needs
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Flexibility, patience, and commitment to inclusive education
