Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Teaching experience with visually impaired or blind students (preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive learning technology
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans for students with visual impairments
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including classroom teachers, therapists, and families
  • Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet individual student needs
  • Provide orientation, mobility training, and technology support as needed
  • Evaluate student progress and update educational plans accordingly
