What We’re Looking For:

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement or eligibility as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
• Experience supporting K-12 students with visual impairments, optimizing access to curriculum
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, educational teams, and service providers
• Flexibility for itinerant travel among schools within the district
• Commitment to fostering independence and advocating for inclusion
• Familiarity with adaptive technology and Braille literacy preferred

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction across multiple school sites, adapting content for visually impaired students
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service professionals to ensure accommodations are in place
• Provide consultative support and training to staff and families on best practices and assistive devices
• Track student progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Advocate for accessibility and continuous student growth in academic and daily living skills
