Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligibility to obtain in Wyoming
• Experience working in educational settings with students who have visual impairments
• In-depth knowledge of Braille, orientation and mobility skills, and assistive technology
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with educational teams, parents, and specialists
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction tailored to students with visual impairments in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess student needs and design appropriate learning activities and adaptations
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure an inclusive classroom environment
• Support students in developing life skills, independence, and self-advocacy
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress updates to families and staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
