What we’re seeking:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience developing and implementing individualized instruction strategies for students with visual impairments
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
• Familiarity with Braille, low-vision devices, and assistive technology preferred
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assessing students’ educational and accessibility needs, including functional vision and learning media assessments
• Creating, adapting, and delivering individualized instructional plans to support access to the general curriculum
• Teaching Braille, technology skills, orientation and mobility concepts, and daily living skills as needed
• Consulting and collaborating with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure effective accommodations
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to comprehensive educational planning
• Providing advocacy, resources, and ongoing support for students’ academic and functional growth
