Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Cibolo, Texas

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience providing direct instructional services to students with visual impairments
• Demonstrated skill in conducting FVE, LMA, and O&M evaluations
• Ability to consult effectively with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
• Familiarity with ARD meetings and IEP processes
• Strong organizational abilities for material preparation and documentation
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accommodating learning environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized direct instruction to students with visual impairments
• Provide indirect consultative services, including guidance for staff and recommendations for accessible materials
• Conduct Functional Vision Evaluations, Learning Media Assessments, and Orientation & Mobility assessments
• Prepare adaptive learning materials to meet student needs
• Attend and actively participate in ARD meetings to ensure students’ educational goals are met
