Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Previous experience working with students with visual impairments in an educational setting
• Proficiency in Braille, assistive technology, and low-vision equipment
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and design individualized instructional plans tailored to their abilities
• Deliver direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and technology use
• Adapt classroom materials and resources for accessibility
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on customized student goals

• Communicate progress and recommendations with families and educational teams
