Bring your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to a rewarding, part-time contract role supporting students across multiple school locations near Dahlonega, GA. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Hold a valid Special Education – Visual Impairment (P–12) teaching certificate OR A Special Education certificate with a Visual Impairment endorsement
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
• Ability to adapt lessons and materials to support accessible learning
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for students with visual impairments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments across various school settings
• Assess student needs and develop individualized educational programs (IEPs) focused on visual impairment
• Collaboratively plan and implement instructional adaptations for curriculum accessibility
• Serve as a resource for classroom teachers regarding materials, equipment, and teaching strategies
• Monitor student progress and regularly communicate outcomes to all stakeholders
• Support families and colleagues by providing training and strategies for effective support

This part-time role provides approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year, from July 27th, 2026, through May 25th, 2027.
