This full-time opportunity runs from October 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027, providing dedicated services in an on-site, itinerant role. Key Qualifications:
- Valid California teaching credential with a Visual Impairment (VI) endorsement
- Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or in a related instructional capacity
- Strong understanding of adaptive equipment, braille, and assistive technology
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educational staff, families, and support teams
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as needed
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver individualized educational support and instruction tailored to students’ unique needs
- Conduct ongoing assessments to adjust strategies and monitor student progress
- Provide consultation and resources to general education staff regarding accommodations and modifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement effective IEPs
- Maintain detailed records and prepare documentation to comply with district and state requirements
