Make a meaningful impact as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, supporting students from elementary through middle school in an engaging, collaborative educational environment. This part-time contract opportunity offers an onsite, itinerant position, working closely with students and educational teams to develop and deliver tailored instructional strategies for learners with vision impairments.

What We’re Seeking:

• Active Illinois PEL with a Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement required
• Experience adapting and delivering curriculum for visually impaired students
• Strong communication and consultation skills with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to travel between multiple elementary and middle school sites
• Dedication to fostering independence and success for students with visual impairments

In This Role, You Will:

• Provide direct and consultative vision services to students in various school settings
• Evaluate student needs, design appropriate IEP goals, and document progress
• Partner with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt materials and instruction
• Advocate for accessible learning environments and promote independence
• Offer ongoing training and resources to educational teams and caregivers
