In this part-time role, you'll deliver vital educational support designed to help a single student with visual impairment reach their fullest academic potential. You'll coordinate closely with dedicated classroom teachers and staff, ensuring the student receives all necessary accommodations for a fully accessible learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized, direct instruction to a 6th-grade student with visual impairment, as outlined in the student's IEP.
  • Provide two 30-minute sessions each month on a consistent, part-time schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with educational staff to guarantee classroom materials and activities are accessible.
  • Offer expert consultation regarding assistive technology and accessibility strategies.
  • Support ongoing compliance with IEP accommodations and services.
  • Closely monitor student progress and communicate relevant updates to the broader education team.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia PSC certification with appropriate endorsement for Vision Impairment/TVI.
  • Experience creating and implementing accommodations for students with visual impairments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary school staff.
