A contract opportunity is available for experienced Teachers for the Visually Impaired to work onsite, serving K–12 students across York County. This position will support several local districts as part of an itinerant team, collaborating closely with educators and staff to ensure students receive the resources and instruction needed to thrive.

The role runs from August 18, 2026, through June 1, 2026, and offers the chance to positively impact learners at multiple locations throughout the school year.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Pennsylvania teaching certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Prior experience working with students who are visually impaired in a K–12 school setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt materials and strategies for individual student needs
  • Comfortable working as part of an itinerant team and traveling between sites
  • Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services for students with visual impairments in various schools throughout York County
  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans tailored to each student’s goals
  • Work with school staff to create accessible learning environments and materials
  • Support families and caregivers through communication and resource sharing
  • Maintain accurate records and progress-monitoring data in compliance with district expectations
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for students with visual impairments, fostering inclusivity in the classroom
