Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Eden Prairie, MN

This K-12 educational contract role in Eden Prairie, MN, seeks a skilled Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide specialized instruction and support to students with vision challenges throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional programs and services to students with visual impairments across grades K-12
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and materials
• Conduct assessments to determine student needs and monitor progress
• Train students in orientation and mobility and use of assistive technologies
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families and educational teams

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments
• Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments
• Knowledge of assistive technology and educational strategies for visually impaired learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and assess student needs
