Qualifications and Preferred Background:
- Valid teaching certification in visual impairment or related field
- Experience instructing students who are blind or visually impaired in a school setting

- Familiarity with assistive technology and Braille instruction
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student's unique learning needs
- Adapt educational materials and classroom strategies to promote accessibility
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Guide the use of adaptive technology and materials, including Braille and low-vision devices
- Advocate for students’ inclusion and accessibility across school environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on goals and accommodations
