Key Qualifications:

• Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligibility for certification.
• Experience working in educational settings with students who have visual impairments.
• Strong understanding of braille instruction, adaptive technology, and IEP processes.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff.
• Excellent communication skills, compassion, and a commitment to meeting diverse student needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized instructional plans tailored to students with visual impairments.
• Provide direct teaching in both one-on-one and group settings, adapting materials and methods as needed.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure accessibility and inclusion within general education environments.
• Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress evaluations.
• Offer consultation, training, and resources to staff and families to empower student learning and independence.
