Teacher for the Visually Impaired - Fayetteville, North Carolina

This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers the chance to work with students across elementary, middle, and high school grades. Key Qualifications:

• Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher)
• Experience designing and implementing instructional strategies for visually impaired students
• Background working with students from diverse backgrounds across K-12 settings
• Skilled in both formal and informal student achievement assessments
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, students, and families
• Familiarity with ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
• Knowledge of district procedures and reporting protocols
• Proficiency with adaptive technology and Braille preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored educational instruction to students who are visually impaired
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods in accordance with district requirements
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Prepare and actively participate in ARD meetings to advocate for student needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students have access to the resources and accommodations necessary
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date student records and documentation
