An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across multiple campuses for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role requires a compassionate educator committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with visual impairments through direct instruction, collaboration, and advocacy.

Your workweek will be a minimum of 37.5 hours, serving as an itinerant TVI covering 10 campuses on alternating days. Enjoy the convenience of your own office located at the administration annex, with a manageable caseload of 25 students ranging in age and level of need.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification with endorsement for Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Demonstrated experience working with students who have visual impairments, preferably in a school-based or itinerant setting
  • Strong understanding of individualized instruction, IEP development, and assistive technology for the visually impaired
  • Ability to travel between multiple campuses efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and staff
  • Organizational skills for maintaining student records and schedules

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, tailoring lessons to individual needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in coordination with educational teams
  • Train and support staff and families in the use of assistive technology and accessible materials
  • Consult with educators and administration to ensure inclusive learning environments
  • Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
