Desired Qualifications:

  • Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to travel among multiple campuses
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an itinerant TVI covering 10 campuses on an alternating schedule
  • Manage a caseload of 25 students, adapting instruction to each learner’s needs
  • Maintain documentation, progress reports, and IEPs
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and support personnel
  • Provide consultation and training to staff related to the needs of visually impaired students
