Step into an impactful educational role supporting students with visual impairments for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers a full-time onsite opportunity (37.5+ hours per week, with openness to part-time for the right candidate) in an energetic school community near Fort Benning, GA. The role is designed for a dedicated teacher of the visually impaired who values collaboration and personalized learning experiences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Georgia Educator Certification in Teaching the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school or educational setting
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility in supporting various age groups (final placements personalized in partnership with district and candidate interests)
  • Comfort with daily documentation—accurate daily logs are required to track student services
  • Commitment to onsite (not virtual/VOCO) teaching

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative instruction to students with visual impairments in alignment with IEPs and individualized needs
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and support personnel to deliver effective and inclusive educational programs
  • Adapt instructional materials, technology, and classroom environments to maximize student learning and accessibility
  • Maintain professional records, including mandatory daily service logs
