Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with visual impairments by providing onsite support in a welcoming school environment. This full-time contract opportunity begins August 3rd, 2026, and continues through May 21st, 2027, with the potential for some additional planning days before and after the school year. You’ll serve in a district committed to finding the best fit for both you and their student population, taking your age group preferences and expertise into account during the interview process.

What you'll bring:

  • Active Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with students who have visual impairments in school-based settings
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Comfort with daily service documentation and maintaining accurate logs
  • A passion for creating accessible, inclusive learning environments

Your contributions will include:

  • Delivering direct or consultative vision services to students with diverse needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Ensuring instructional materials are adapted and accessible
  • Documenting daily sessions and progress
  • Contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary teams as needed

This position offers a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, with potential for part-time arrangements based on student needs. The district values the input of their TVIs and invites each candidate to discuss their preferred age groups, ensuring a positive placement experience.
