Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Fuquay Varina, North Carolina

This rewarding, onsite contract position is located in a vibrant educational community near Fuquay Varina, NC, offering full-time hours (37.5 per week) from now through May 21, 2027. You’ll serve as a key resource, fostering both academic and personal growth for visually impaired students in a collaborative environment.

Compensation for this role ranges from $39 to $43 per hour, reflecting your expertise and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique visual needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Support curriculum accessibility through the creation of modified materials, including Braille, large print, and digital resources
• Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate accommodations and strategies for visually impaired learners
• Accurately assess students’ functional vision and adapt teaching practices accordingly
• Serve as an advocate and resource for students, families, and school personnel

Role Requirements:

• Active North Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license/certification
• Recent experience or expertise in providing instruction to students with visual impairments
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with adaptive technology and assistive devices
