Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to a dynamic school environment. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to support students’ educational journeys through tailored instruction and collaboration with a passionate team of educators. You’ll be working onsite, ensuring direct engagement and support for students who are visually impaired.

This rewarding role is set to begin in early August and run through late May. As a valued member of the educational community, you’ll have the chance to work closely with staff and families to create strategies that promote accessibility and independence for students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid educator certification as required by the state
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card must be current and on file
  • Previous experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with visual impairments
  • Develop, implement, and adapt curriculum materials for accessibility
  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and track progress
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
  • Serve as a resource for staff to promote best practices in visual impairment education
