Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
• Previous experience in educational settings, preferably working with visually impaired students.
• Solid understanding of Braille and assistive technologies.

• Strong organizational, communication, and assessment skills.
• Dedication to individualized education plans (IEPs) and student advocacy.

Primary responsibilities and duties:

• Provide direct instruction and support adapted to meet each student’s unique needs.
• Develop and implement effective individualized education plans.
• Assess student progress and adjust strategies to achieve learning goals.
• Consult with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and materials for accessibility.
• Coordinate services and resources to enhance the learning experience.
