Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with visual impairments for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator seeking part-time hours and the chance to make a significant impact across multiple educational settings. Serving a caseload of 8-10 students, primarily at the elementary level with the potential to work with a middle or high school student, you’ll be working both onsite and, if preferred, through a virtual (VOCO) model.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and current Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
  • Experience supporting students with visual impairments in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Ability to provide both direct and consultative services in accordance with student IEPs
  • Skilled in delivering services onsite and receptive to incorporating virtual instruction if needed
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills, particularly for indirect, non-contact services and IEP-related communication

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction, interventions, and adaptations for students with visual impairments, ensuring access to the general curriculum
  • Support and collaborate with classroom teachers to implement IEP requirements and best practices
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Maintain accurate records of service delivery and communicate regularly with education teams and families
  • Service multiple school locations as student needs dictate
