An exciting contract opportunity awaits experienced Teachers of the Visually Impaired who are passionate about providing onsite support to students. This full-time position—starting in early August 2026 and running through late May 2027—offers the flexibility to accommodate part-time hours, depending on the needs and schedule of the chosen candidate. This role will focus on direct instruction and specialized support for students with visual impairments in a collaborative school environment.

In this role, you’ll have a personalized caseload tailored to your strengths and experience, determined through interview discussions. You’ll be responsible for service documentation, ensuring student needs and progress are well-supported.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Georgia Educator Certificate for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
  • Demonstrated experience working with students who have visual impairments in a school setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in maintaining daily service logs and supporting IEP documentation requirements
  • Comfortable adapting to evolving caseload assignments and collaborating with educational teams
  • Must be available for onsite work (remote/VOCO not accepted)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to visually impaired students across various grade levels
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
  • Complete daily logging and service documentation to track student progress and services rendered
  • Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to promote accessibility and success
  • Participate in ongoing planning and team meetings as needed
