TVI - Hamilton, Georgia

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as an experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Georgia. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with potential pre- or post-planning days. Efforts will be tailored to meet the needs of students in a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Full-time availability is preferred (at least 37.5 hours per week), but part-time options may be considered.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Georgia Educator Certification specific to Teachers for the Visually Impaired.
• Experience working directly with students who are visually impaired, across various age groups.
• Comfort with flexibility in caseload and age group placements, determined collaboratively during the interview process.
• Strong documentation skills, including accurate daily service logs.
• Excellent communication and partnering capabilities with faculty, staff, and families.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, individualized support for each student’s learning and independence.
• Willingness to work onsite (remote services are not an option for this position).

What You’ll Do:

• Provide specialized instruction and adapt materials to make the curriculum accessible for visually impaired students.
• Contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs), student assessments, and collaborative planning with other educators and support staff.
• Deliver direct and consultative services, coaching classroom teachers as needed for accessibility.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of service delivery and progress reporting.
• Help students access resources, technologies, and skills to promote independence and academic achievement.
