This full-time contract position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, offering 37.5 hours each week in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment. Engage with a diverse caseload and help shape accessible learning experiences throughout the academic year.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI)
• Proficient in instruction for students with visual disabilities, across K-12
• Ability to utilize appropriate methods as outlined by local district standards
• Experience with formal and informal assessment techniques
• Comfortable preparing for and attending ARD meetings
• Strong communication skills, including proficiency in sign language
• Commitment to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct specialized instruction to students who are visually impaired, adapting lessons for a range of learning needs and age groups
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student achievement and track progress
• Collaborate with families, general educators, and related service professionals to promote student success
• Prepare documentation and participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings to ensure comprehensive student support
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual education plans while fostering independence and confidence in learners
