Taking over the caseload of a retiring Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), you’ll step into a crucial support role, impacting the lives of students and collaborating with dedicated educators. Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in Texas or eligibility for TX TVI standards
• Experience or training working with visually impaired students in a school setting preferred
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet individualized learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assume a full caseload, providing direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
• Support students’ educational needs through individualized instruction
• Work onsite in coordination with school teams; role is 35 hours per week
• Document progress, collaborate with families and staff, and assist with IEP processes
