The school is seeking dedicated Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVIs), and those holding dual credentials as a VI teacher and Orientation & Mobility (O&M) specialist are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualifications & Experience:

• Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired; additional O&M specialist certification is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in instructional strategies and adaptive technology for visually impaired students.
• Proficiency in braille reading and writing; experience as a braille transcriber is a plus.
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students with visual impairments.
• Consult with staff and families to adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods.
• Support students in orientation and mobility, fostering independence and confidence.
• Contribute to assessments, progress reporting, and educational planning.
• Share resources and best practices with colleagues, and assist in providing training to staff when needed.
