Seeking a qualified educator with expertise in teaching students with visual impairments for a contract position located in Irving, TX. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support services tailored to visually impaired students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and participate in annual ARD meetings
- Provide consultation services approximately 20 minutes every six weeks
- Incorporate an additional 40 minutes of compensatory instruction as determined during annual ARD reviews
Qualifications:
- Certification and experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
- Strong understanding of instructional techniques and accommodations for visually impaired students
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and other professionals
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Location: Irving, TX, with potential involvement at the south campus in Fort Worth
Contract Details:
- Position available through December 6th, 2025
- Contract-based employment with specific service schedules and consultation requirements
