Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Irving, TX

Seeking a qualified educator with expertise in teaching students with visual impairments for a contract position located in Irving, TX. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support services tailored to visually impaired students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments and participate in annual ARD meetings
• Provide consultation services approximately 20 minutes every six weeks
• Incorporate an additional 40 minutes of compensatory instruction as determined during annual ARD reviews

Qualifications:

• Certification and experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
• Strong understanding of instructional techniques and accommodations for visually impaired students
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and other professionals
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Location: Irving, TX, with potential involvement at the south campus in Fort Worth
