Qualifications and Experience:
- Active North Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification/license required
- Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff
- Understanding of a variety of adaptive technologies and materials
- Ability to adapt instruction to multiple grade levels and learning styles
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction to students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide consultative support and resources to classroom teachers and staff
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in accordance with educational goals
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, using adaptive tools as needed
