Teacher of Visually Impaired - Lincolnton, NC

In this role, you’ll travel between schools, adapting curriculum and materials, advocating for student access, and collaborating with general educators and families to meet each learner’s needs. Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Visual Impairment
• Experience working with visually impaired or blind students in educational settings preferred
• Ability to develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual students
• Skills in utilizing assistive technologies and adapting learning materials
• Flexibility and strong communication for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to travel between multiple school sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments across multiple schools
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support educational goals
• Assess student needs, recommend adaptive tools, and monitor ongoing progress
• Participate in IEP development, meetings, and student planning
• Advocate for access, inclusion, and accommodations for diverse learners
