Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Texas certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) required
  • Proven experience delivering specialized instructional strategies for students with visual impairments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility to adapt to different school sites and caseload demands as this is a floating role
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible classroom environment
  • Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with visual impairments
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding adaptive techniques and resources
  • Assess student progress and maintain up-to-date records in accordance with IEPs and district requirements
  • Travel between assigned sites to provide onsite support where needed
