Teacher of Visually Impaired - Littleton, CO

You’ll play an integral role, collaborating with staff and families to develop individualized educational plans, support accessible instruction, and advocate for student needs within the school setting. Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Colorado Department of Education certification required
• Completed background check and fingerprinting (district-specific requirements)
• Experience in teaching or supporting visually impaired students in school environments preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials for a variety of age groups and skill levels
• Passion for fostering an inclusive, accessible classroom experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting materials and techniques as needed
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting support strategies to meet evolving needs
• Serve as a resource on visual impairment, offering guidance on technology, accessibility, and accommodations
• Support school communities in understanding and implementing best practices for students with vision needs
