Deliver exceptional support and guidance to students with visual impairments in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity near Long Beach, CA, is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in K-12 education. We are searching for individuals experienced as Teachers for the Visually Impaired, with the potential need for a candidate dually credentialed as both a VI Teacher and Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist. The ability to transcribe materials into braille is also highly desirable.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching credentials in Visual Impairment required
  • Certification or extensive experience as an O&M Specialist is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in braille and/or experience as a braille transcriber
  • Previous experience supporting students with visual impairments in schools
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Commitment to fostering independence and success among visually impaired students

  • Collaborate with educational teams, families, and administrators to ensure optimal support
