Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current certification or credentials as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Orientation & Mobility Specialist certification is highly desirable
• Experience or familiarity with braille instruction and technology
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other educational professionals
• Compassion, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
• Candidates with dual certifications or expertise in braille transcription are highly encouraged

Responsibilities & Core Duties:

• Deliver individualized instruction to visually impaired students in diverse school settings
• Adapt curriculum and materials using braille and other accessible formats
• Collaborate with special education teams, administrators, and families
• Conduct functional visual assessments and provide O&M training if certified
• Assist with or oversee braille transcription needs
