Key Qualifications:

• Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI) required
• Dual credentials/certification in VI and Orientation & Mobility (O&M) highly desirable
• Experience as a braille transcriber is a plus
• Dedicated to supporting K-12 students in diverse educational settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction, adapt materials, and promote accessibility for students with visual impairments
• Provide O&M training to maximize student independence, if dually certified
• Consult with school staff and families for optimal learning outcomes
• Support braille transcription and accessible curriculum as needed
