Currently, we have needs for:

  • Certified Teachers for the Visually Impaired (VI)
  • Dual-credentialed/certified VI Teacher and Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist
  • Braille Transcriber

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a VI Teacher; dual credential in Orientation & Mobility highly desired
  • Proficiency in braille and related assistive technologies
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with visual impairments in an educational setting
  • Commitment to individualized instruction and student advocacy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to visually impaired students
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement IEPs
  • Provide mobility and orientation training if credentialed
  • Adapt curriculum materials, including braille transcription as needed
  • Support inclusive learning environments
