Qualifications and Skills:

• Certification and/or licensure in special education for teaching students with visual impairments
• Demonstrated experience or background as a teacher for the visually impaired, preferably in a school environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and multidisciplinary support teams
• Strong communication and organization skills to coordinate services and maintain student progress documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instructional services tailored to the unique needs of each student with visual impairments
• Adapt curriculum, materials, and assessments to promote access and participation
• Coordinate and communicate with educational staff and families regarding student progress and needs
• Ensure compliance with all IEP/504 requirements and participate in planning meetings as needed
