Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)

  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with school staff and families
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage caseload and documentation
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instructional support to students with visual impairments according to their IEPs
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to create an accessible learning environment
  • Assess student progress and provide updates to the educational team and families
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to ensure student success
