Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) from an accredited institution; Master’s in Special Education preferred
• Current Massachusetts DESE certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (Vision Impairment license)
• SEI Endorsement required
• In-depth knowledge of ECC, with experience in compensatory/access skills, assistive technology, and O&M-related collaboration
• Skilled with Braille, large print, tactile graphics, and low-vision devices (preferred)
• Experience with functional vision and learning media assessments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver TVI services to students ages 3–22 across three buildings
• Conduct functional vision assessments, learning media assessments, and vision-specific evaluations to guide eligibility and IEP development
• Adapt materials and work collaboratively with staff and specialists
• Support students with a wide range of vision needs by providing access to curriculum and technology
