Your role delivers both growth and adventure, as you serve students from preschool through age 22 across three dynamic school buildings. You’ll enhance your expertise in best practices for visual impairment education and experience firsthand the transformative power of your work. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution; Master’s in Special Education preferred
• Valid Massachusetts DESE certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (Vision Impairment license)
• SEI Endorsement required
• Strong grasp of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC)
• Experience with Braille, large print, tactile graphics, and low-vision devices preferred
• Knowledge of compensatory/access skills, assistive technology, and collaboration with O&M specialists

Responsibilities:

• Serve students across three school buildings (preschool–age 22)
• Conduct functional vision assessments (FVAs), learning media assessments (LMAs), and other vision-specific evaluations
• Collaborate for eligibility decisions, IEP development, and tailored service delivery
• Support students with assistive technology and adaptive materials
