In this engaging role, you’ll work Monday through Friday, expanding educational opportunities for students with a range of visual impairments. Collaborate with dedicated teams to help foster independence and facilitate success both in and out of the classroom.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Credentialed as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Experience delivering instruction and accommodations to students with visual impairments in a school setting
• Proficiency in Braille and assistive technology for the visually impaired
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Passion for advocacy, inclusion, and student growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum as needed
• Conduct functional vision assessments and help determine student eligibility for services
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student learning
• Recommend and facilitate the use of adaptive tools and technology
• Develop and monitor IEP goals, maintaining regular progress documentation
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and community outreach
