Working on-site and engaging directly with students, you’ll contribute expertise and compassion where it’s needed most.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI) licensure required
  • Proven experience or strong skillset in supporting children and adolescents who are visually impaired
  • Adaptability and organizational skills for itinerant assignments across multiple campuses
  • Experience working with a range of ages, including students needing homebound services, is highly valued
  • Proficient in developing and implementing individualized educational plans for visually impaired learners

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and specialized support to a caseload of approximately 12–15 students, with at least 3 receiving homebound services
  • Tailor educational materials and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student with visual impairment
  • Maintain regular communication and collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
  • Flexibly serve multiple campuses on an itinerant basis; caseload and locations may change throughout the year
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and document student progress to ensure goals are being met
