Key Qualifications:
- Active Visually Impaired (VI) Teacher License from Massachusetts (MA DOE) required
- Success on MTELs (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure)
- Experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering student independence and engagement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to visually impaired students, adapting curriculum and materials
- Assess and monitor student progress, developing individualized educational plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to facilitate student success
- Provide training and guidance on assistive technology and classroom accommodations
- Promote self-advocacy and functional life skills in students
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and school guidelines

- Contract assignment from September 1, 2026, through June 14, 2027
