Key Qualifications:

  • Active Visually Impaired (VI) Teacher License from Massachusetts (MA DOE) required
  • Success on MTELs (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure)
  • Experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering student independence and engagement

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to visually impaired students, adapting curriculum and materials
  • Assess and monitor student progress, developing individualized educational plans
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to facilitate student success
  • Provide training and guidance on assistive technology and classroom accommodations
  • Promote self-advocacy and functional life skills in students
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and school guidelines

Position Details:

  • Contract assignment from September 1, 2026, through June 14, 2027
  • Full-time and part-time schedules available to suit your lifestyle
  • Onsite only—engage directly with students and colleagues in a supportive setting
  • Located near Methuen and Andover, MA
