  • Ability to create and adapt educational materials for visually impaired learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ visual needs and develop individualized education plans
  • Provide direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and use of assistive technology
  • Consult regularly with classroom teachers and staff to ensure student access to curriculum
  • Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support students at home and in the community
  • Monitor progress and adjust approaches to maximize student achievement
  • Maintain compliance with all required documentation and reporting
