On this assignment, you’ll work condensed hours—Monday through Thursday, 8:45am–12:45pm—leaving afternoons and weekends free for adventure. With professional exposure to a diverse team in a setting 4 district serving students with complex behavioral and physical needs, you’ll expand your skill set and strengthen your resume. Gain valuable insight into innovative special education strategies while making a tremendous impact on a meaningful caseload.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid credentials as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI/BVI)
- Experience or confidence in supporting students with significant behavioral and physical challenges
- Comfort working with caseloads of 10–15 students in specialized settings
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to visually impaired students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt materials and environments to meet unique student needs
- Liaise with families, staff, and therapy providers to maximize student growth
